{"id":170,"date":"2014-05-25T09:37:01","date_gmt":"2014-05-25T09:37:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.southmoreton.org.uk\/?p=170"},"modified":"2014-06-23T23:25:44","modified_gmt":"2014-06-23T22:25:44","slug":"temporary-road-closures-at-north-moreton-sands-road-dunsomer-hill-high-street-and-long-wittenham-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.southmoreton.org.uk\/?p=170","title":{"rendered":"Temporary Road Closures \u2013 at North Moreton \u2013 Sands Road, Dunsomer Hill, High Street and Long Wittenham Road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Temporary Traffic Regulation Order \u2013 S14 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Temporary Road Closures \u2013 at North Moreton \u2013 Sands Road, Dunsomer Hill, High Street and ong Wittenham Road<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the interests of public safety it will be necessary for Oxfordshire County Council to close the roads as detailed above in order to facilitate carriageway maintenance works.<\/p>\n<p>A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is being made to implement the temporary closures and will operate from 23 June 2014. The estimated duration of the works is 15 days ( Closure 1 &#8211; 5 days) and (Closure 2 \u2013 10 days).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>(The maximum duration of a TTRO on a road is 18 months and on a footpath is 6 months, or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.)<\/p>\n<p>Notice of intention to make the Order will be published in the local press.<\/p>\n<p>Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and also overnight access for those frontages within the closure areas, subject to the progress of the works.\u00a0 Please note that access routes will depend on exactly where the works vehicles are at any time and may need to be negotiated with the gang on site as necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that road closures are generally signed from junction to junction. This is to deter drivers from driving right up to the works site and then having to reverse or make tight turns.
